Appointment FAQs

All new patients begin with a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Brian. This initial consultation is the first step in our intake process and gives you an opportunity to share your health history, current concerns, symptoms, and wellness goals. It also helps determine whether our office is the right fit for your needs and what next steps may be recommended.

From there, Dr. Brian may recommend a Comprehensive Health Assessment, lab testing, and an In-Depth Report to help create a personalized plan based on your symptoms, goals, and lab findings. Any recommended next steps and estimated costs will be discussed with you before moving forward.

Yes. All new patients begin with an initial consultation with Dr. Brian. This appointment gives you the opportunity to share your health history, current concerns, symptoms, and goals while also helping Dr. Brian determine whether our office is the right fit for your needs.

During the consultation, he may discuss preliminary recommendations for lab testing, a Comprehensive Health Assessment, or other next steps based on what you share.

Before your appointment, please complete any required forms in your patient portal. You are also welcome to upload or email recent lab results before your consultation so Dr. Brian can review them ahead of time.

If additional information is needed, our team will let you know how to share it through the patient portal or by email before your next appointment. You’ll receive guidance along the way so you know what to complete, where to send information, and what to expect.

Yes. If video is not convenient, your virtual appointment can be completed by phone instead. Just let our team know your preference ahead of time so we can make the appointment as smooth and comfortable as possible.

At this time, Dr. Brian offers virtual wellness care only. In-person appointments are not currently available.

Virtual appointments allow you to connect from home while still receiving personalized time, thoughtful guidance, and support based on your health history, symptoms, goals, and lab findings.

Yes. Because our wellness care is virtual, patients in different time zones can schedule appointments using our online booking system. The scheduler allows you to view availability in your local time zone.

If you live outside the U.S. or have questions about scheduling, lab testing, or whether our services are the right fit for your needs, please contact our office at 864-406-3300 and our team will be happy to help.

Yes. The symptoms listed on our website are examples, not a complete list. Because the body is interconnected, symptoms can have many possible contributing factors, and each person’s situation is different.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible so that time may be offered to another patient.

For consultations, follow-up appointments, check-in calls, and standard or extended visits, please provide at least 1 hour’s notice to cancel or reschedule.

For Comprehensive Health Assessments and In-Depth Report appointments, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. These appointments require a larger block of dedicated time, and additional notice gives our team a better opportunity to offer that time to another patient.

If the required notice is not provided, or if an appointment is missed, a cancellation fee equal to half the visit price will be charged to the card on file.

Yes. Jane offers a mobile app that allows patients to manage appointments, view upcoming appointment details, join virtual appointments, pay balances, and reply to secure messages from the office.

The app can be helpful if you prefer to manage your appointments from your phone. For setup instructions and more details, please visit Jane’s mobile app help guide.

Labs FAQs

No. Labs do not need to be completed before your Comprehensive Health Assessment.

After your initial consultation, Dr. Brian may discuss preliminary lab recommendations so you have an idea of potential testing options, estimated costs, and what may be relevant for your needs. After your intake forms are completed and your health history is reviewed during the Comprehensive Health Assessment, he will provide final testing recommendations and pricing.

Because lab processing times and scheduling can vary, we recommend having labs drawn at least 14 days before your In-Depth Report appointment. This allows time for results to be received and reviewed so your report can include the most complete, up-to-date information available.

Blood labs are completed at any Labcorp location nationwide. If blood work is recommended, our office will order the labs and send you a requisition form after your Comprehensive Health Assessment. You’ll print the form and bring it with you to your preferred Labcorp location for your blood draw. Once completed, Labcorp sends the results directly to our office.

For other types of lab testing, at-home test kits may be ordered by Dr. Brian and shipped to you for self-collection. Results from those tests are also sent securely to our office for review.

Some patients choose to ask their medical doctor to order labs through insurance. However, insurance coverage is never guaranteed, and many functional wellness markers may not be considered medically necessary by an insurance plan.

In some cases, a medical provider may agree to order some or all of the recommended labs, but patients may still be responsible for any portion that insurance does not cover. This can sometimes lead to unexpected bills that are higher than the cost of completing labs directly through our office.

For this reason, Dr. Brian will review recommended testing options and estimated pricing with you before you move forward, so you can make an informed decision about how you would like to complete your labs.

Yes. Previously drawn labs can be a helpful starting point and may give Dr. Brian additional context about your health history. However, past lab work may not include all of the markers needed for a full functional wellness assessment.

You are welcome to send any recent lab results before your consultation by email or through your patient portal. Labs over one year old may not provide the most current insight, but Dr. Brian can review your previous results and discuss whether updated or additional testing may be helpful.

Our office works with lab ordering platforms that provide access to more transparent, cash-pay pricing for many commonly recommended labs. This can often make lab testing more affordable than completing the same testing through insurance, where coverage, deductibles, and patient responsibility can vary.

If Dr. Brian believes a specific test may be more appropriate or cost-effective through your medical doctor or insurance, he can discuss that option with you. No matter where your labs are completed, he will review the results using functional wellness ranges and a whole-person approach to help connect your lab findings with your symptoms, goals, and overall health picture.

Your lab results are reviewed alongside the information gathered during your consultation and Comprehensive Health Assessment. Dr. Brian will go over your results in detail during your In-Depth Report appointment and explain how they relate to your symptoms, goals, and overall health picture.

At that time, you’ll receive a copy of your lab results along with the functional ranges used during your review. This helps you better understand your results and see how functional lab ranges may differ from standard reference ranges.

Cost FAQs

No. LifeLogic Functional Wellness Care does not accept insurance or provide superbills.

Our services are private pay, which allows Dr. Brian to offer personalized, wellness-focused care that is guided by your health history, symptoms, goals, and lab findings rather than insurance coverage requirements.

You will receive clear pricing information before moving forward with any recommended services or lab testing.

Some patients may be able to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for eligible services.

Because coverage rules can vary by plan, we recommend checking with your HSA or FSA provider before using those funds to confirm which expenses are allowed under your specific account.

Lab costs vary based on each person’s needs and the testing that is recommended.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Brian may discuss preliminary lab options and estimated pricing based on your health history, symptoms, and goals. After your intake forms are completed and your Comprehensive Health Assessment has been reviewed, he will provide final testing recommendations and pricing before you move forward.

This personalized approach helps ensure that any recommended labs are selected thoughtfully and based on what is most relevant to your care.

A card on file helps make scheduling, payments, and checkout easier. Your payment information is stored securely through the patient portal, and our office cannot view your full card details.

Your card on file may be used for appointments, services, products, or cancellation fees in accordance with our cancellation policy. You can update your payment information at any time through your patient portal.

Therapeutic Nutrition FAQs

Yes. Many patients pursue Functional Wellness Care while also taking medication.

Dr. Brian’s role is not to prescribe, stop, or adjust medications. Instead, he focuses on functional wellness support, including lifestyle, nutrition, supplement guidance, lab review, and personalized recommendations based on your symptoms, goals, and overall health picture.

If you have questions about starting, stopping, or changing medication, you should discuss those directly with your medical doctor or prescribing provider.

Nutrition is an important part of Functional Wellness Care, but recommendations are personalized to your needs, goals, and current lifestyle.

For some patients, dietary changes may be recommended to help support digestion, blood sugar balance, energy, inflammation, or other health patterns. These changes may be small and gradual, and they are not always meant to be permanent.

The goal is not to follow a restrictive plan forever. The goal is to better understand what supports your body and create realistic nutrition habits that fit your life and long-term wellness goals.

Not all online supplement sources are the same. Because supplement quality, storage, labeling, and authenticity can vary, we recommend purchasing supplements from verified, reputable sources whenever possible.

At LifeLogic Functional Wellness Care, we recommend products from trusted suppliers we have reviewed and feel comfortable using as part of a personalized wellness plan. This helps ensure you are purchasing the intended product from a reliable source.

Visit our Wellness Shop to learn more about the supplement brands and ordering options we recommend.

Possibly. Whether you can continue using supplements you already have depends on the product, quality, ingredients, expiration date, storage conditions, and whether the supplement is still appropriate for your current needs.

If you are unsure about what you’re taking, Dr. Brian can review your current supplements with you and discuss whether they fit into your personalized wellness plan or whether a different option may be more appropriate.

Professional-grade supplements recommended by Dr. Brian can be ordered through his online Fullscript dispensary.

Fullscript provides access to high-quality supplement brands from a centralized, professional ordering platform. This helps ensure you are purchasing recommended products from a reliable source with proper storage, handling, and delivery practices.

You can access Dr. Brian’s Fullscript dispensary here or through the Fullscript mobile app.
